Thereafter is a short video I produced using photographs of my father, which I animated. He was killed during the war in Mostar when I was very young. There are no video recordings of him, only still images. Similar to Trapped in a loop, I wanted to animate him and extend the scene past the moment captured in the pictures.
At the time of producing the video, I was exactly the same age he was when he died 28 years ago. The audio you hear are frequencies I calculated based on the measurements of the room he died in, and his voice which my sister recorder by accident on our cassette player when we were kids. I stretched the voice recording to create a haunting soundscape.
